This Company installed a new roof on 02/27/2020.The day that the work was completed someone stopped by to pick up the initial check. I then mailed them my deductible and on two occasions other checks received from Insurance. It is Corona time and I can understand delays but they had no problem making three deposits and also doing additional work in my development. They promised me a warranty which they tried to E-mail Unfortunately who ever scanned the doc needs training. All I want is a copy... of my warranty. Whatever you do with this company withhold payment until you are satisfied. Piss poor customer serviceread more

Had them replace our roof, but had a "wait" on the interior work.... The roof job was done well and in a timely manner. There was also some water damage in the inside of the house. At the signing of the contract, we were not sure if we wanted UCR to do the work or not, but "trusted" them with the check from the insurance company. Later, we determined that we would like another company do the interior, and request that they return that portion of the check. I have called MULTIPLE times and... been given the run around....I have been told that the money would be sent.. I have been told that another department handles THAT money... I have been transferred around from department to department... I can post the time stamps and duration of my calls. I would love to give them a good review, but not when they owe us hundreds..
My lawyer says we definitely have a case, but I would like to avoid that...

My wife and I recently moved into our new home 1 month ago here in Chevy Chase, Md. I had noticed a few large water stains on the ceiling inside my daughters bedroom. We also found a few loose shingles that were found on the ground along with granules in the downspout area. I asked a fellow neighbor if they could recommend a trustworthy and reliable roofing company in the DMV area. They recommended United Construction & Restoration since they just re-roofed my neighbors house and installed new... windows. We called them up and the next day a roofing expert was out at our house looking at the damages. I was quite impressed as he showed up dressed very professionally and following CDC Guidelines wearing a face mask and keeping a far distance. He inspected the damages and found large hail hits which has damaged over 30% of the roof and many missing shingles. He also inspected the siding on the house and found that the metal siding was also damaged from hail. After he completed the inspection he emailed a copy of the photos and he assisted my wife with filing an insurance claim . Everything was done remotely and digitally as far the contracts being signed. He then met with the adjuster the following week and got our roof insurance approved and the siding which he said was discontinued. The week after that, United Construction & Restoration was at my house early to install the roof and new vinyl siding! All we paid was our deductible. The process was so smooth, simple and painless. I was very impressed and would recommend this company to anyone who needs help with construction projects.read more

I live in Bethesda Md. I heard something flapping in the wind on my roof. I googled this company and decided to try them out. The guys repaired the damaged chimney flashing . They were so professional they even matched my shingle color . Very pleased with United Construction & Restoration doing such a great repair job . I would definitely use this roofing company again.

I am very happy with the service that United Construction provided. The installers took there time to make sure the job was done right. They also did an exceptional job cleaning up after the work was complete. Highly recommend.

Great service. We were delayed a bit by my solar panels company who was to disassemble the panels. UCR was patient, and as soon as the roof was ready, they moved in and for the job done in no time.

I have had the worst experience with United Construction. Back in October, I signed a contract with them to have a new roof and siding installed. We decided on the color of shingles and siding and the new roof was going to be installed in Novemeber. They showed up November 26/27 to work on the roof and said they would come back to install the siding. Days went by and we had to reach out to United to find out why they have not come back to install the siding. They informed us the siding we chose... was out of stock and would not be in stock for about another week. December 6th came around and they showed up at my house unexpectedly just to drop off materials on the driveway. We called United again to find out if they were going to install the siding the next day and we did not get a clear answer. I am sick and tired of United Construction they are such a shady company. All they want is your money and once they have it they could care less about you. It is now Christmas Day and thanks to United we did not get to hang up Christmas lights because they did not come to install our siding. We have materials taking up space in our driveway so we can't park our cars. During the day the materials are just laying out for anyone to come and steal them. United Construction is the worst company I have worked with, STAY AWAY DON'T LET THE POSITIVE REVIEWS FOOL YOU.

We were very pleased with the roofing project with United Construction and Restoration Inc. They provided excellent customer service, helpful advice, and constant communication through from the beginning to the completion of the project. The roofing crew was punctual, hardworking, and did a great job cleaning our property once completed. We are definitely satisfied customers and will highly recommend United to friends and family.

United Construction and Restoration did a wonderful job on my roof. When I first spoke with the agent Mike and he explained their business with detail; and the material they used. I had to go with them. The warranty and years that went with the complete roof repair is outstanding. My roof is how should I say it. It’s like brand new. If you want to chose an outstanding construction company who will take care of you it is them. The crew that came out were professional and also cleaned up better... than I thought. They get five stars.read more

UCANDR replaced our entire roof and part of our living room ceiling over the summer, and we are pleased with the results. We have never filed a claim before on our homeowners insurance policy, and it was a great help to have UCANDR handle most of the interaction with the insurance company. Fact is we probably would have still had our old roof on if UCANDR hadn't handled 80% of the process, which made it so much easier. Definitely cheaper for us, the insurance paid for everything except the... deductible.
I'm writing this review 3 months after the new roof was put on, and it's been great so far. It's noticeably quieter than the old roof, now we can barely hear rain hitting the roof in rainstorms.read more

6 months ago the United Construction and Restoration replaced a new roof for us. Like my previous review, all was good however, I requested them to fix the wall panel they mess up on the chimney but never happen. It doesn't look good!!!!
The reason I am doing a review again today is not about the work they did but the promise that they never fulfill. The deal at the time was, if I put their business sign/post in-front of our house for a month or the time of the construction, they will give... us $250.00. In addition, google review $250 and $150 referral. Out of the three i fulfilled the two...I put the sign in-front of our house and I did google review. But, where is my $500??? They never sent me a check.....It's been SIX months....read more

Martin from United C & R was so helpful through the whole process! We got a new roof over the house and separate garage! 5 star installation and they worked on it as soon as weather allowed! Highly recommend this company.

Overall I was pleased with the work performed by United. Paul worked to allow me to select a different roofing solution, and still stay within the budget of the insurance allocation. There were some lengthy delays in communications, but I understand that to have been mostly due to internal changes with their computer system. Workers showed up early and worked all day and returned the next Dayton complete project. I was never introduced to a site foreman/person in charge, but again, workers... seemed to work hard and do quality work and clean up was good, except for one box left in driveway. The next day the box was removed however when someone came out to inspect completion of work and workmanship. Natalie was very good with communications and informing of next steps to close out contract. We also did have United replace gutters under separate contract, and that project went smoothly. With the exception of some drop off in communications during the process, we were happy with United and their work.read more

Excellent workmanship and customer service.
We were very pleased with all aspects of our roofing project with United Construction and Restoration. The project manager, David Lee provided excellent customer service, helpful advice, and constant contact from the estimate all the way through to the completion of the installation. He was the only roofer from three companies who actually climbed on the roof and conducted a thorough inspection prior to providing an estimate. Our new roof looks great! The work was completed quickly, and was of high quality. Had a minor issue with a few nails from the old shingles being left behind on the roof and ground, but someone was out the very next day to take care of the issue! We've had a few high-wind events and heavy rain, and the new roof has performed like a champ. Very happy with the results.

The whole process was very easy. We were able made a claim to the insurance without any issues. The whole roof was replaced and beautiful but we felt that it was a rush job that they did. Even though the roof looks good, we have to request a rework on some are in the back of the chimney. They did response very quickly and took care of the issue. However, more damage were done on the wall panel. We will contact again to see if they can repair the wall panel. At this point we are 50/50.... Very happy with the new roof but not expected to see anomalies.read more
